Bacopin, an extract from the herb Bacopa Monniera (known in India as “Brahmi”), increases brain health and function. Bacopin ® enables us to sharpen our thinking and remembering abilities.

Bacopin products which contain a minimum of 20% (24 mg) bacosides A&B, are believed to play a protective role in the synaptic function of the nerves in the hippocampus, the center of memory function.

Studies suggest that Bacopin ® repairs damaged neurons by adding muscle to kinase, the protein involved in the synthesis of new neurons to replace old ones and in the repair of existing neurons. Bacopin increases synaptic activity which supports the restoration of memory.

Bacopin is a brain antioxidant which increases the levels of the bodies own protective antioxidant enzymes, super oxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GPX), in all areas of the brain.

Bacopin increases energy metabolism indirectly leading to enhanced alertness, awareness and cognition. It also increases mellowed emotions and relaxed smartness.
